Heartwarming and harmless? Sure, why not. But its also numbing in its simplicity and often rather annoying.

The combination of Homes layered message, fun score, and clever comedy make it a colorful choice for moviegoers of any age.

Anyone over 10 will see the plot twists a mile away. Kids will probably enjoy the goofy Boovs, the rainbows of colors and the music. Call me a traditionalist, but I still say the world was a better place before those darn Boovs invaded.

A surprisingly moving tale of friendship and family, dressed up as an adorably frivolous sci-fi comedy.

Maybe its because kids sometimes feel like aliens in a grown-up world, but from E.T. and Elliott to Lilo and Stitch, pairing a child with a creature from outer space can prove to be a winning combination.

A big, fat happy meal of a movie …

There are plenty of reasons to go see The Martian. Just know the visuals, cast and selective comedy will be worth more than the price of admission.

I cant say Home is the groundbreaking artistic masterpiece of storytelling we all hoped it would be, but I also disagree with idea that every new thing starring a person of color has to be spectacular and perfect.

While this message is not original, it is not negligible either. However, the strategy used to present it is not particularly successful. [Full review in Spanish]

Laced with gentle humor and a few genuine tugs on the heartstrings, this light-spirited romp is joyful, bubbly fun.

Basically, dont put too much thought into this movie, because no one involved in making it did.

Mostly this is one is for the kids. Some quick-witted humour aside theres little new for parents to enjoy, but the offspring will enjoy the snappy pacing, colourful animation and wacky ideas.

People always talk about the great Disney or Pixar films that come out every year, and if another animated film comes along that doesnt live up to those standards, they disregard it. Sadly, I think that this very underrated animated film will be forgotten about very soon, and it definitely should not be. Home tells a very simple story of an alien race that wants to inhabit earth. With the best intentions, they do not realize they are ruining the lives of the humans. When one rogue Boov (alien) meets up with a little girl who is left behind, they form a bond and hilarity ensues. I must say, this film is much funnier than I was expecting it to be. I was busting a gut quite a few times. No, nothing wholly original happens during this film, but the fact that the jokes feel fresh and the emotion is all intact, I had a blast. Home is a fun little gem that I really recommend to all ages, especially kids. Fun little surprise of a film.

Adorable and a half! I thought Ohs broken English and out-of-context pop culture references would be annoying, but he is actually rather lovable in his goofiness and naivete. I watched this movie in Taiwan with Chinese subtitles and was surprised to see that Ohs semantic antics werent literally translated, causing a loss in humor, I assume. Tip is a cleverly conceived – from her being on her own at sixteen, to her given name being Gratuity, to her mad-sad complexity. Rihanna does some emotive voicework, and she and Jim Parsons have great chemistry. The fact that the fugitive pair are able to elude capture in this high-tech world is a bit farfetched, but their budding friendship and Ohs gradual anthropological study of humans sends a sweet message about cultural understanding.

Oh: Oh, no! My hands are in the air like I just do not care! The cute factor always plays a big role in animated features made for a family audience. As it stands, I am happy to watch these animated features that manage to balance a level of cuteness with some witty writing, good-natured humor, or other fairly positive elements that make for a good film. Home definitely makes attempts at cuteness, given the way we see certain characters, but I found a lot of that to be undone by the nature of the story that I could not get over. Some unintentionally uncomfortable implications of the friendly alien invasion that set up this story ultimately kept me from embracing the film more and the nature of the aliens known as Boov did not help much either. read the whole review at

Home is a humourous animation that had me laughing like a drain fro the very beginning.

Ahh! Do not eat the blue mints! Thankfully, there is a large bowl of lemonade. Do not drink the lemonade!
